IP staff seek to assist international students and scholars by providing information about their rights and responsibilities while living in the United States. Throughout an individual’s stay we want to intentionally engage students, scholars, and staff in the immigration process and empower them to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. Our goal is to help students and staff understand the complexities of federal immigration regulations and university policy and how it affects them on a daily basis.
Our staff is trained and experienced in advising on the complex nature of immigration regulations, which are ever changing. Our immigration advisors have expertise in the following immigration categories: F, J, H-1B, TN, E-3, and Employment Based Permanent Residency.
Our staff also collaborates with different departments and stakeholders on campus to facilitate internationalization campus wide. Through our understanding of immigration and work with students and scholars we hope to continue to make WSU a truly global institution!
