The Orientation provides important information regarding your stay as a student, campus resources and services in the community.
ALL NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ORIENTATION & COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING STEPS BEFORE ARRIVAL AT WSU:
International Spring Orientation 2015
Orientation sessions will be held during January 6-9, 2015. See orientation details below.
STEP 1: iCougSM Tutorial
**All students are required to complete the iCougSM Tutorial (online pre-arrival information and assessments) prior to arriving in Pullman.

STEP 2: Register for the University Orientation
Degree-seeking Undergraduate Students: Register with New Student Programs for Spring Orientation, January 7-9, 2015.
Graduate Students: Register with Global Services for International Spring Orientation, January 6, 2015.
Non-degree/Exchange Students: Register with Global Services for International Spring Orientation, January 8-9, 2015.
STEP 3: Complete Immigration Check-in
- Undergrad Student Check-in:
Check-in time and location: January 7, 2015, between 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Compton Union Building (CUB) Jr. Ballroom.
- Non-degree & Exchange Student Check-in:
Check-in time and location: January 8, 2015, at 10:00 am, Bryan Hall Lobby.
- Graduate Student Check-in:
Check-in time and location: January 6, 2015, between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Bryan Hall Lobby.
Documents to bring:
- Valid passport
- F-1/J-1 visa
- WSU I-20/DS-2019 (if you have this)
- Previous I-20/DS-2019 (transfer students)
- Sponsored Students: bring a copy of your Financial Guarantee
If you miss the orientation check-in, please come to Global Services in Bryan Hall 108 as soon as you arrive at WSU.
All international students will be charged a non-refundable, international orientation fee, after course registration. The fee will be charged to your WSU account and can be paid along with your tuition through ZZUsis.
ZZUsis is an internal resource for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to access secure information regarding their records at Washington State University.
The University charges a mandatory, non-refundable Matriculation Fee to all degree-seeking undergraduate students upon registration for Spring Orientation (university orientation).
All undergraduate students are required to take the Math and Writing placement exams before enrolling in any Math or English courses. Please prepare to take the exams prior to your arrival in Pullman. Taking the exams early will be beneficial to you!
