Global Case Competition
This year's competition was held April 2 -13, 2012.
Congratulations Team Viable Alternative Energy Council (VAEC) for winning the 2012 Global Case Competition!
The Global Case Competition at WSU began in spring 2011 bringing graduate and undergraduate students from all WSU campuses to form multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions to issues currently impacting a global community.
Teams of 4 to 6 students work together under a strict timeline to develop a strategic solution to the selected case. Teams present their strategies to a group of judges who will then decide the winners. The winning team will win a plaque, artifact and a prize that is directly and globally related to the case!
In the second annual Global Case Competition, teams worked round the clock to present inter-disciplinary, well-rounded solutions to Nigeria’s troubled energy issues and human development. The judges and audience were blown away by the quality in ideas and presentations that were seen by the top five competing teams.
Team Viable Alternative Energy Council was awarded the first prize, while team Newgeria came in a close second. See a related news piece in WSU News.
