Philippines Mangrove Rehabilitation
Project Description
The Upland and Rural-Urban Ecosystem Management" project for areas surrounding Dasol Bay complements the initiatives undertaken by Tanggol Kalikasan under the previously completed Multipartnership Mangrove Rehabilitation of Dasol Bay Project. This project seeks to address issues of terrestrial origin that negatively affect the Bay, thereby undermining the outcomes generated by the Magrove project. By putting in place mechanisms to support forest and rurual-urban ecosystems management techniques the project will assist in rehabilitating watersheds supplying the Dasol Bay and sustaining the impact the long term impact of the rehabilitated Mangrove areas of Dasol Bay.
