Incoming students are highly encouraged to apply for housing prior to arrival at Washington State University. 

Residence Halls (Dormitories)

WSU Housing & Residence Life

WSU provides various types of Residence Halls on campus to meet students’ needs.

All single undergraduate freshmen under 20 years of age should learn about WSU’s Freshman Live-in Rule before arranging housing.

Many Residence Halls are closed during the school breaks. All Residence Halls officially open as follows

  • 10:00 am on Wednesday prior to the start of spring semester.
  • 10:00 am on Sunday of the week prior to the start of fall semester.
