Brandon Sitzmann, Ph.D. – Director
With an emphasis on international development projects, Brandon cultivates and establishes innovative, multidisciplinary faculty collaborations and empowers WSU researchers by facilitating connections with international partners. He promotes and facilitates new research initiatives, supports faculty efforts to secure external funding, and offers creative leadership to implement programs that encompass research, education, outreach, service, and capacity building.
Colleen Taugher – Associate Director
As an information designer, Colleen brings a design thinking approach to more than a decade of international development programing at WSU. She implemented Last Mile Initiative efforts in Rwanda in the early days of bringing connectivity and business opportunities to rural areas, led capacity building initiatives in information and communication technology in both East and West Africa, and has directed complex agricultural development programming. She is committed to building sustainable partnerships within and for academic institutions around the world as a gateway to global research innovation.
Kim Castelin – Research Associate, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist
Kim has found a home in practicing and teaching evaluation that is a natural fit for her aptitude in mathematics and economics, creativity, fascination with social and political systems, and dedication to others. For seven years she has been collaborating with professionals from around the globe to build Monitoring & Evaluation systems for project use while also building others’ competencies in evaluation. She is invested in pivoting faculty and student research skills toward conducting rigorous evaluations in international contexts.
