Fulbright Student Association Symposium

From the World to Your World: Academic and Cultural Exchange Perceptions

The WSU Fulbright Student Association & the Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho Fulbright chapter will hold a Fulbright symposium at Washington State University. The event will feature a panel discussion and talks by Fulbright professors, research scholars and students from Washington State University and the University of Idaho.

The event is free and you are all invited to attended. Lunch is provided!

Asian Mid-Autumn Festival

WSU’s Chinese Students and Scholars Association is hosting the Asian Mid-Autumn Festival! This event will feature music and rhythms from different cultures as well as door prizes and sweet treats. The festival will be held in Jones Theater in Daggy Hall. Tickets will be sold in the CUB Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for WSU students and $10 for non-WSU students.

Fulbright Welcome Reception

The Eastern Washington/North Idaho Fulbright Association Chapter and the WSU Fulbright Academy invite Fulbright student and faculty scholars, alumni, and family to a gathering of friends and colleagues to start off the 2017-18 academic year.


Rotary Club of Pullman BBQ and Ice Cream Social

In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Pullman BBQ, the Washington State Office of International Programs will hold an ice cream social. The event is open to international students and scholars, as well as returning study abroad students.

Rotary Club of Pullman Spaghetti Feed

The Rotary Club of Pullman’s annual spaghetti feed costs $8 with youth ages 10 and under admitted for $5. Silent auction items will be available as well. Proceeds go toward Rotary projects, including an annual back-to-school BBQ for WSU international students.

WSU Symphony Orchestra Hosts Maestro Zhou Jin

Dr. Danh Pham, conductor of the WSU Symphony Orchestra, is hosting Maestro Zhou Jin of the Wuhan Conservatory of Music, in concert, Thursday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. in Bryan Hall Theatre. Maestro Jin is very active internationally and this is a great honor to have him here. In addition to conducting an overture, he will be conducting a composition from a Chinese composer. All international students and members of the community that represent China are welcome. Admission is free to students and the general public.

Writing Workshop Series: Reference Management Software

Reference management software enables users to collect, organize, manage, and cite sources in a methodical and sustainable process. This workshop will focus on the free, open source Zotero reference management tool, but will briefly discuss alternatives such as EndNote and Mendeley.

Please bring your laptop to this event and register no later than December 7.
