The International Center

The International Center welcomes everyone who wants to make international friends and connections.

Welcome to this space created for you

Conveniently located in the Compton Union Building (CUB), right in the center of campus, the International Center is a kind of campus family room—a comfortable, welcoming place where all students and their friends can gather to relax, socialize, and study.

Students take part in intercultural communication opportunities, leadership roles, and a variety of global programs for the campus and community. It’s a place where all students can share their cultures; our social events frequently highlight international cultural customs and traditional U.S. celebrations.

The International Center offers a variety of resources:

  • Computers and free printing for all students
  • Free tea and coffee
  • Comfortable lounge with TV and kitchenette
  • Quiet study space

Students who want to get involved, meet other interesting people, and have fun should consider joining or volunteering for one of our outreach programs. There are internships and other involvement opportunities available.

Everyone is welcome!

The International Center is for everyone, including domestic and international students! Meet people from all over the state of Washington, the U.S., and the world at the IC!

The International Center may also be able to help you fulfill your major’s international learning requirement. Just drop in and ask us how to get started.

International Center programs

The Coffee Hour series

Our weekly Coffee Hour series includes guests and fun themes. Every Friday beginning at 3 p.m., students and guests gather to talk about a range of topics, including U.S. culture, international events, WSU, Pullman resources, and more.

Upcoming events

English language practice

Practice your English in a welcoming, low-pressure setting with other students and friendly English-speaking volunteers at the International Center.

Language conversation tables

The International Center supports various language tables. Each semester, we host a range of different languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, and others. Languages offered vary from term to term. Students can practice or share a language they know or are learning. These tables allow students to share their language and culture with others interested in learning. If you want to start a language conversation table for your language, please speak to someone at the International Center.
