If a student cannot come for their first start term, they can defer their application 1 time, waiving the application fee and enrollment fee (if already paid) for the creation of the second application. If the student cannot come for the start term of their second application, the student must reapply with a new application to WSU, paying an additional application fee.
If a student cannot come for the start term of their third application, they can defer this application one time, waiving the application fee and enrollment fee (if already paid) for the creation of the fourth application. If the student cannot come for the start term of their fourth and final application, the student will not be able to attend WSU. If a student submits a fifth application, it will not be reviewed.
Terms and Conditions
An application must have an admissions decision to be deferred (incomplete or unreviewed applications cannot be deferred).
An application cannot be deferred to a start term more than 12 months after the original application term.
All deferral requests must have a valid reason (e.g., visa denial, not able to secure a visa appointment in time, visa military service, etc.).
IP Admissions will review only 4 total applications, regardless of admission type (i.e., bachelor’s, master’s, Academic English).
