The International Center

Conveniently located in the Compton Union Building (CUB), right in the center of campus, the International Center is a kind of campus family room—a comfortable, welcoming place where all students and their friends can gather to relax, socialize, and study.

Students take part in intercultural communication opportunities, leadership roles, and a variety of global programs for the campus and community. It’s a place where all students can share their cultures; our social events frequently highlight international cultural customs and traditional U.S. celebrations.

The International Center offers a variety of resources:

• Free tea and coffee
• Comfortable lounge with TV and kitchenette
• Quiet study space

If you want to make international friends, this is the place for you. Domestic students are welcome to participate in any of the center’s events—or just drop in, say hello, and hang out. The university’s international students would love to meet you!

Becoming a Cougar series

New students can benefit from the Becoming a Cougar: American Life and Culture series. This program helps students navigate the university environment. It provides additional support by educating students about a variety of topics, including WSU athletics, local travel and transportation, health insurance, and academic integrity.

The Coffee Hour series

Our weekly Coffee Hour series is just one of dozens of events we hold each semester. Every Friday from 3 to 4 p.m., students and guests gather to talk about a range of topics, including U.S. culture, international events, WSU, Pullman resources, and more.
