“I was involved in my field. I had the chance to do ‘hands-on’ as well as theoretical work in mechanical engineering. I really thought that was a great experience.”

Academic life at WSU

Open doors with a WSU degree

Many of the university’s programs are ranked among the best nationally and internationally. At WSU, you will learn from caring professors who will help you be successful.

Faculty mentors accept students into their research teams in almost every area of study we offer. Our Office of Undergraduate Research is dedicated to helping you find research opportunities.

You will also have opportunities to study abroad and expand your world.

A unique academic experience

At WSU Pullman, you will live and learn in a classic U.S. college town: an entire community that is built around your university.

The First-Year Focus programs offered by many residence halls on the Pullman campus put you in certain courses with other students who live in your residence hall and share similar interests. They help you find friends and study partners—and help you get better grades, too.
