Laurie Quiring – Director
Leads and directs marketing, recruitment, and admission processes for WSU’s Intensive American Language Center and International Undergraduate Admissions. Manages agency relationships and establishes pathway partnerships.
Farah Antoine – Assistant Director
Coordinates international undergraduate admission. Lead for international transfer credit, education abroad credit evaluation, and development of international articulation tables. Advises and processes international student applications.
Paul Christensen – Program Assistant
Responsibilities include reception, student and faculty assistance, correspondence with students, staff, and faculty, and publications.
Trevor Kingsley – Senior International Admissions Counselor
Involved in all steps of international undergraduate admissions process, from recruiting to matriculation; including foreign transcript evaluation, transfer credit reporting, issuing I-20s, and managing IP student scholarships.
|Sharyl Kammerzell – Director
Provides strategic direction to develop and implement programs, services and policies supporting international students and scholars. Provides leadership to units supporting global students, global scholars, and the International Center.
|Smitha Bose – Program Assistant
Acts as the primary contact for the Global Services department. Manages international students’ inquiries and provides timely support for immigration-related issues. Collaborates with Global Services staff, international student advisors, SEVIS coordinator, and Director to implement policies and provide international students and scholars with excellent support.
|Maria Clara Cardieri Souza – International Student and Scholar Advisor
Manages and provides immigration services for all WSU department’s wishing to hire and/or host international personnel. Liaison with stakeholders regarding immigration updates and procedures. Works on complex immigration issues as Immigration Specialist in the J-1, H-1B, TN, O-1 and U.S. Permanent Residency categories. Assists as needed in international student immigration advising for F and J statuses.
|Hanna Gillingham – Program Coordinator
Primary contact for international scholar and student intern inquiries. Assists departments wishing to host and/or hire international scholars and student interns. Contact for scholar programming and outreach.
|Anna James – International Student Advisor, DSO
I advise F-1 students on immigration issues and lead Global Services’ International Peer Mentor Program. With a Master’s degree in Global Human Development, I am particularly interested in how supporting international students can build capacity to solve development problems. Please contact me for students in the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences; and the Carson College of Business.
|Nitivia Jones – International Student Advisor
I work with the College of Education, College of Communications, and the College of Veterinary Medicine to make sure international students maintain their status while in the United States. I also am taking initiatives to address the mental health of international students while they are in the unique and stressful situation of studying abroad by providing weekly meditation sessions.
|Brian Ridge – SEVIS Coordinator
Works as the SEVIS Coordinator and PDSO. Manages international student information systems and oversees SEVIS reporting. Coordinates the many offices and branch campus locations within WSU that enter data into the international student systems.

Advises students on F and J immigration issues. Contact for programming and outreach to campus and community. Liaison with key stakeholders regarding immigration/student issues.
