ISSS advising hours will be available Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving week (Nov. 23-25), even though there will be NO CLASSES. Log in to our portal webpage between 1-3 p.m. (U.S. Pacific time).

As a reminder, WSU is recommending all students remain at their current locations to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in the community.

If you would like to learn more about this traditional American holiday, please join the Coffee Hour with the International Center:

Register here to fill out a card for the Coffee Hour. You do not have to register to join the event, but the first 20 people who do register will win an Amazon gift card!

When: Friday, Nov. 20 from 3-4 p.m.
Where: This Zoom link! (Meeting ID: 918 4752 4753 Passcode: 997008)

  1. Cougar Health Services registration holds. Check your myWSU account

Do you have a Measles, Green Dot or BSRC hold in your myWSU account? If so, these holds can prevent you from registering for the spring 2021 semester and can impact your F-1/J-1 status.

The BSRC workshop is mandatory for all first-year and transfer students (who are under the age of 21 as of Aug. 1) during their first semester on the Pullman campus.

Please contact Cougar Health Services to check how to remove the hold(s) if you have any: https://cougarhealth.wsu.edu/contact-us/

  1. International Programs office hours winter break – Plan ahead!

ISSS will be available for emergencies only during the University Winter Closure between Dec. 24, 2020, and Jan. 1, 2021. As we will have reduced staff, advising hours (1-3 p.m.) are canceled, and we cannot commit to process requests within the usual 5 days turnaround time. Therefore, PLAN AHEAD if you need to submit a request to our office.

Please email ip.intlservices@wsu.edu for questions or to set up an advising appointment. We will make sure someone from our team is available to help during this time period.

  1. WSU and Pullman leaders are thankful for the international community

Please join WSU and Pullman leaders Monday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. for a presentation on how WSU and Pullman are thankful to our international community and are a welcoming place for ALL. The meeting will be recorded to accommodate those in different time zones.
