ISSS advising hours will be available Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving week (Nov. 22-24), even though there will be NO CLASSES. Log in to our portal webpage between 1-3 p.m. (U.S. Pacific time).

We invite you to join our International Programs Thanksgiving on Nov. 22, 2021, between 1-4 p.m. at the Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center.

This event has been fully approved by the university and we will serve a buffet-style meal. Please RSVP on this link. Because of capacity constraints at the Cultural Center, this has been set up so that a limited number may RSVP for each hour.

  1. The WSU International Center is hiring

The WSU International Center is looking for a paid Graduate Staff Assistant (must be a current graduate student) for a 20-hours-per-week position from Jan. 3, 2022, until May 15, 2022. If interested, please email cover letter and resume to ISSS Director Dr. Kate Hellmann at khellmann@wsu.edu.

  1. Cougar Health Services registration holds. Check your myWSU account

Do you have a Measles, Green Dot or BSRC hold in your myWSU account? If so, these holds can prevent you from registering for the spring 2021 semester and can impact your F-1/J-1 status.

The BSRC workshop is mandatory for all first-year and transfer students who are under the age of 21 as of Aug. 1 during their first semester on the Pullman campus.

Please contact Cougar Health Services to check how to remove the hold(s) if you have any: https://cougarhealth.wsu.edu/contact-us/

  1. International Programs office hours winter break – Plan ahead!

ISSS will be available for emergencies only during the University Winter Closure between Dec. 24, 2021, and Jan. 1, 2022. Although we will have reduced staff, advising hours (1-3 p.m.) will be sustained Dec. 28-30. We cannot commit to process requests within the usual 5-day turnaround time. Therefore, PLAN AHEAD if you need to submit a request to our office.

Please email ip.intlservices@wsu.edu for questions or to set up an advising appointment. We will make sure someone from our team is available to help during this time.
