  1. Get involved

Whether you are a new or returning student this fall term, it is always a great time to get involved in some student associations that support and advocate for international students. Please visit the Registered Student Organizations (RSO) for more information: getinvolved.wsu.edu/rso/.

Here are a few others:

  1. Follow us on Instagram

International Student and Scholar Services is on Instagram! Join the growing number of followers on our interactive page: www.instagram.com/wsu_ipintlservices/

  1. Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse

ATVP provides 24-hour emergency and supportive services to families and sexual violence survivors and their children. Services are available for concerned, supportive family members, friends, and community members. ATVP services are free and confidential.

If you need assistance, please contact them at atvp.org/index.shtml

  1. Off-campus employment alert

The IP-International Student and Scholar Services office reminds you that international students require employment authorization to work off campus, either through our office or through a personal benefit application. Working off-campus without proper authorization is a status violation and could result in the termination of your SEVIS record or other negative consequences further down the road (such as during an H-1B application adjudication).

We realize this is a complicated topic so please contact us if you would like to discuss the matter in person.

  1. Employment scam

WSU asks that you be aware of unsolicited job offer emails that could be considered a scam. Please read this announcement to learn more.
