  1. Get involved

Whether you are a new or returning student this fall term, it is always a great time to get involved in some student associations that support and advocate for international students. Please visit the Registered Student Organizations (RSO) for more information: Registered Student Organizations (RSO).

Here are a few others:

  1. Follow us on Instagram

International Student and Scholar Services is on Instagram! Join the growing number of followers on our interactive page: International Student and Scholar Services Instagram

  1. Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse (ATVP)

ATVP provides 24-hour emergency and supportive services to families and sexual violence survivors and their children. Services are available for concerned, supportive family members, friends, and community members. ATVP services are free and confidential.

If you need assistance, please contact them at: Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse

  1. Group and workshop offerings CAPS

To join a group or workshop at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), students must attend an “Initial Consultation” (30-minute appointment via Zoom) at CAPS and at that appointment they can let their clinician know they wish to join a group or workshop. To schedule an Initial Consultation, students should call the CAPS front desk at 509-335-4511. To better meet student needs they offer both in-person and zoom services. This semester they will be offering a mix of in-person and zoom workshops.

  1. MyWSU holds preventing enrollment

All WSU students are responsible for any holds placed on their account, such as those that prevent enrollment. While our office strives to support our international students, we’re unable to get holds from other departments removed or temporarily lifted. Please review your WSU account often to check if holds have been applied and contact the unit placing them timely. As a reminder, F-1 and J-1 students are required to be enrolled full time to maintain their visa status.
