  1. Sprintax software reminder

ISSS offers FREE access to online tax preparation software specifically designed for international students. This software is available now, so you can log in to myPassport.wsu.edu and select Tax Software to fill out the form.

International students who were employed at WSU in calendar year 2020 should have received a report of wage earnings (form W-2) from the Payroll Service Office. Students should use this form to complete and send their tax return to the U.S. government. Tax returns are due by May 17, 2021.

Please see item 6 below for more information and a Sprintax preparation workshop.

  1. Priority fall registration begins – April 12

It is time to begin thinking about those fall 2021 classes! Priority registration for fall 2021 will begin on April 12. The first thing to do is to make sure that you are able to enroll. So, make sure you do not have any holds that will keep you from registering.

Log in to your MyWSU account. In your Student Services home page, the holds are listed in the top right-hand side of the page. Here is more information on how to prevent registration delays: http://registrar.wsu.edu/media/756512/prevent-registration-delays.pdf.

Additionally, if you’re not sure who to contact regarding a hold, here is a helpful list: https://registrar.wsu.edu/registration-holds/

  1. Withdraw deadline – April 16

April 16 is the deadline for undergraduate and professional students to withdraw from a course.

Remember that as an international student, you must request all withdrawals through https://mypassport.wsu.edu. The withdrawal form is found under “Enrollment Change Forms.”

If withdrawing from a course will drop you below 12 credits (undergraduate), then you must be approved for a Reduced Course Load before the withdraw can be approved. Contact ISSS for more information about Reduced Course Loads.

Please remember that until you receive confirmation that both ISSS and the Registrar’s office have approved and processed your withdrawal, you should continue attending the course.
