We encourage you to arrive as soon as possible, so you are successful as a student. Professors expect you to be in class on the first day, August 23, and to attend all classes from the start of the term. We understand if you are doing your best to arrive on time but are being challenged to do so.
If you are not able to join us by the end of the first week, you must email your professors to notify them of why you are unable to make it and ask them to accommodate you until you arrive. You can find your professors’ information in your myWSU class schedule. Please let us know how we can support you to ensure your success at WSU.

- How to schedule a vaccine appointment at Cougar Health Services (CHS)
As you are aware, all students should submit proof of vaccination of a WHO-approved COVID vaccine or have an approved exemption on record by November 2021. Please visit our COVID-19 FAQ page for more information in case you have specific questions about this requirement.
If you choose to receive the vaccine at Cougar Health Services, here is how you can book your appointment:
- Visit Cougarhealth.wsu.edu
- Select Patient Portal
- Sign in with myWsu information
- Select Appointments
- Select Schedule an appointment
- Select Covid-19 Vaccine
- Search date will have to be 8/6/2021 or after
- Choose an appointment date and time
Additionally, vaccine clinics will be held at the Student Rec Center on Aug. 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We encourage all students who choose to get vaccinated to book an appointment as early as possible.

Due to Week of Welcome and new student orientation sessions, open advising hours between 1-3 p.m. are canceled for the week of Aug. 16.
