We understand the desire of international students to reunite with their families during the holidays, but we urge all students to closely check the CDC guidelines and current imposed travel restrictions when making the decision to travel, especially internationally. Depending on your itinerary and vaccination record you might not be allowed back into the U.S.

If you do decide to travel internationally over the holidays, note that ISSS will offer same-day travel endorsement on your I-20 or DS-2019 on Dec. 8 and 9 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Just stop by Bryan Hall 206 with your I-20 or DS-2019 during this time and we will provide a travel endorsement. Any requests submitted after these hours will go through the regular standard business process of up to 5 business days.

Engage with great events WSU has to offer throughout the year, especially over the winter holiday months. Visit this link for more information on what is happening around you.

For those who are staying in campus housing, dining services will have limited availability over the University closure: dining.wsu.edu/hours. Be sure to plan ahead.

  1. Graduation photos

Graduation is right around the corner, and to help commemorate the occasion for our international student body we are teaming with a campus photographer to get some cap-and-gown shots of our graduating students!

When: Dec 13, 2021, from 3-5 p.m.

Where: Front steps of Terrell Library

If there is inclement weather that day, it can easily be moved inside the library or next door in the CUB.

ISSS will be available for emergencies only during the University Winter Closure between Dec. 24, 2021, and Jan. 1, 2022. Although we will have reduced staff, advising hours (1-3 p.m.) will be sustained Dec. 28-30. We cannot commit to process requests within the usual 5-day turnaround time. Therefore, PLAN AHEAD if you need to submit a request to our office.
