  1. UnitedHealthcare cyberattack

WSU has been made aware of a cyberattack on UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Student Resources involving data of WSU students on the health plan. Please see this communication from UHC with more details. UHC will be emailing affected students directly by the end of this week and offering each affected member LifeLock at no charge to protect their personal information. Please make sure to check your WSU email account and reach out to UHC with questions.

  1. Become a Peer Mentor

The application for international student Peer Mentors  opened on July 1 and will be open until July 16.  Mentors are current students who volunteer to help newly arrived international students transition to their new lives in the U.S. and at WSU. They connect these students with clubs, events, and resources during this transition period.  Mentors can be from any country, including the U.S, and they can be graduate or undergraduate students.

This is a great leadership opportunity for students. They will be able to develop intercultural communication skills, plan program-wide events, and have several career development opportunities, in addition to meeting people from all over the world.

An updated resume and cover letter are required.  Applicants will be contacted for a 30-minute Zoom interview soon after submission.
